Greatest Hits
This photo was taken prior to Digital Photography class and it was used for the very first project which was to post our favorite image taken prior to this class. Though shot into the sun and with the subject centered in the image I like the way the image came out from a pedestrians. I like the way that the light post almost divides the image directly down the left third. Also the color of the image is very smooth in comparison to the color of the Fenway walls and structure. The sun peeking over the edge of the center field jumbo-tron shows what I wanted the viewer to focus on, the 2013 WS banner.
This image, from the texture unit combines the law of thirds, line, and texture into one image. The POV of this image could be from something very small like an insect. The use of black and white greatly shows the contrast in the image and the shadows. The shadows also show where the sun is located while this image was taken. Focusing on the right third of the image, the clouds and horizon line also emphasize the contrast.
Again, this image shows the POV of a person as they look down a flight of stairs leading to the shore line. This image shows very detailed texture in the wood and even in the water. Though the trees are very bare and besides the stairs the image doesn't consist of much detail but I still like this image for the great detail in the wood and the symmetry of the first flight of stairs and how the platform shifts to the right and then continues that symmetry.
